Your post on the Soapbox thread reminded me to check back here.

I need a real life hook to appreciate most painting, I'm not good with abstracts without that - your comment about kites gave me the hook for this one and I've been back looking at it several times. It really is full of wind, air and kite tails and I love the colour. It's a beautiful dance.

I find your "abandonded" series to be the most evocative. It also is the best composed in my opinion. Using the natural light and camera orientation helps to create a meloncoly feeling.

Oh, I thought my name would be mentioned automatically.

So, I'll repeat;

"I love it"

Yes, it may sound weird, but these days I'm trying to make pictures of my kite flying in te air ,as if I make drawings/paintings with it.

Or a dánce between me and my kite. (July 2005)

this is actually a ukrainian anti-semitic/ anti Soviet poster... unfortunately I cant guess to its date, though perhaps around 1945 would make sense, as this was a time of anti-Soviet guerilla activity (Benderovtzy) in Western Ukraine
