Titania / "Clouded Sky"

Oooo....what an intriguingly shaped cloud. Nicely caught, Titania!

Alfredo / "B"

A few days ago, this painting of mine was severely damaged by my own mistake.
I had bought a black, pre-fabricated passe-partout and I assumed it was destined for A4-formats.
Yes, it wás, and my painting was also máde at A4 paper.

Bút I had forgotten, that in highth/loweth I had painted the full 100 % space.
I did have special care for the top of the painting.

A day later, I discovered, that the "bottom" was "changed".

I did not really think it all over, or had a real look behind the passe-partout and so I painted some more black Acrylic in the right corner, down.

Anóther day later, I discovered, that the passe partout had covored three cm. of the original bottom and that the original was far more dynamic then the "new one".

It could not be repared.
At the internet I looked for info. about professional printing services, because the original was now only digital and could at least be printed.

A lady mailed me, that she had seen my painting and she herself had printed it and hung it in her room.
She wrote me, that she would be "honoured" with printing it at her sophisticated hardware, including a nice and fitting passe-partout ánd a silver-like phrame with glass.

And there she was, today, with her husband, who paints himself.
And there we were, in my room, talking about my other paintings.

Later on we walked to the corner of my street to eat Italian
Icecreme and there they told their story.
That the had come to know each other 1 1/2 years ago and that they both broke up their marriages to be able to love each other and share their lives together.

So this was a rich day in the life of Alfredo.

The fire of passion, shared with those who live their own passion(s).

Passing on the torch of fire/inspiration/passion.

That - to me - makes life meanigful.

Titania / "Clouded Sky"

It is an awesome photo, Titania!

There used to be one of those TV artists --you know the type. Starvin' artist style paintings for the masses. However, I always loved the way he refered to everything as "Almighty"... an "Almighty mountian", and "Almighty tree", and "Almighty sky". This is truly an "Almighty sky"!

Absolutely awesome!

Not as awesome, but still my favorite of my sunset photos, is this series of images taken last Friday: http://public.fotki.com/Mudhooks/my_stuff/year_in_photos/2005/sunset/100_0001.html

I'd just like to mention that this photo hasn't been enlarged or tampered with in any way except for adjusting the lightness. The cloud was huge and really did take up most of the sky!

Sho / "Abstract Dancers"

I really like this - it reminds me of an impressionist painting. The symmetry in the row and the repeated pattern and colour of the costumes makes a great effect!

Alfredo / "100"

From the very beginning, I did not want to give any painting
a title. And I still don't want it.
But I hád to give them bureaucratic numbers.

And in the end, I like these cold numbers as titles.
Why?
Because it is a sharp contrast with the contents.
It makes it more down to earth, more balanced.

Yes, I like these stupid numbers.
They will stay as "titles".
They add something positive to the paintings as a whole.

Stunning! The beads of dew, the rich convoluted texture. Very nice!

Unmentionable Marauding Pillowcase / "Lanner Falcon"

I had to look twice to make sure this wasn't a photograph - I love the way he seems to look out of the picture, and assess us as "too insignificant to be a thread" - not quite malevolent.

You are my Canadian twin!

Only your roadside is prettier, and my chiropractor's office has no view (he-he).
