I always have fun "fiddling" with my photo editing software. I have loved solarizing ever since I used to do it in the darkroom. With the editing software, I can push and push and push a photo... just to see what it will do.

For this one I used the solarizing and frost features.

Thanks, Myra. It was a beautiful evening. I also made a video coming straight across the city towards the sunset, ending at the Rideau River.

One part of the video is included here (with my friend Ken's singing of his own song "Her Eyes on the Horizon"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v940SdY9zp0

and the very end is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9-dssQfcrU

Alfredo / "Alexander Litvinenko, 2006"

Very sad, very sad. I am still shocked that today something like this can happened.
But I am happy on this day of Christmas( though I am a Sun worshipper) I met you Alfredo. I live in America. Later more. See my Page with my web site. Blue bird :-)

Mudhooks / Abandoned House, 3rd Line

Stimulates my fairy tale like imagination.
Makes me also think of the movie "Adwards Cissorhands" (Johnny Depp).
Somehow, I'd like to live there, just as it is.
(with hidden "comfort"=warm water, etc. etc. etc.:)

Charlotte Edith Anderson Monture

Thank you for your comments. I am happy that Edith can serve as an insoiration and role model for another generation of women as well as Aboriginals, in general.

Edith was also the first Aboriginal woman in Canada to be trained as a nurse. I was telling someone this one day and discovered that her grandmother held the distinction of being the first Aboriginal woman to be trained IN CANDA as a nurse. I wish I had been able to write her name down and share it here, as well.

Happy to have found this as she is one of my new heroes and I am presenting on her tomorrow for Aboriginal Women's History Month. This is a great idea! Now go wash your mudhooks as my mother would say...

I don't find it blurry. maybe a gaussian sharpen would make you feel differently about it. Its still a very nice photo. It has character.
